Mike Brown lead guitarist for George Michael

Legendary musician Mike Brown who started his career at the tender age of seven with the help of his father is the recipient of the special honorary BEFFTA Excellence Award. Mike brown started from humble beginnings in church and rose up in ranks becoming the guitarist for world famous artists like Sir Cliff Richard, Quincy Jones, Leona Lewis, Damage, Michelle Gayle and many more. However his permanent residency is with George Michael since 2003 to present time. He has toured the world with George Michael including appearing on Oprah Winfrey show and playing at World Music Awards performing the hit song Amazing.

THE JACKSONS RECEIVE BEFFTA PLATINUM LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Musical genius and legends The Jacksons are the recipients of BEFFTA Platinum Lifetime Achievement award for their generous contributions to the music industry for over four decades. The Jacksons currently consisting of Marlon, Tito, Jackie and Jermaine are the first family of music performing since the 60’s with their late brother Michael Jackson.

The Jacksons were one of the biggest phenomenons in pop  music during the early 70’s and the last great group to come out of Motown hit-making machine before Marvin Gaye and Stevie wonder shifted the label’s focus to more individual vision.

As Europe’s biggest award ceremony BEFFTA launches it’s 6th year anniversary on the first day of Black History month in Mayfair,  the legendary music mogul Quincy Jones received BEFFTA GLOBAL LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD at a private ceremony in London. The LA based musical genius was in London for an intimate gig called An Audience With Quincy Jones. The star who developed music for many legends including Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles and many more was thrilled to receive the BEFFTA award presented to her by the founder Pauline Long.  “This is beautiful, this award means a lot to me, it is great to be appreciated, thank you,” said Quincy Jones.

TAY GRIN LIVE AT BEFFTA UK 2014

Malawi’s hip-hop superstar Tay Grin is ready to rock BEFFTA UK 2014 in London with his electrifying performance. This will be the second time the Channel O award-wining rapper jets into the country this year after his major tour in August-September, where he performed at the Commonwealth Festival in Scotland, Manchester and Nottingham.
